Our Logistics Approach
Rare earth oxide shipments involve more complexity than standard bulk commodity freight — export licensing, hazardous material classifications, and destination-country import requirements all require careful management. Terratec Resources handles the full logistics chain on your behalf, from producer facility to your nominated port. We coordinate freight forwarding, export documentation, and customs clearance so that material arrives on time, on spec, and fully compliant with all applicable regulations.
Shipping Terms
We offer two standard shipping arrangements to suit different buyer preferences and operational requirements:
FOB (Free on Board) — Terratec Resources delivers material to the nominated loading port and completes all export formalities. Risk transfers to the buyer once material is loaded on the vessel. Suitable for buyers with established freight forwarding relationships who prefer to manage ocean freight and insurance directly.
CIF (Cost, Insurance, Freight) — Terratec Resources manages ocean freight and marine insurance through to your nominated destination port. Risk transfers to the buyer upon arrival at the destination port. Recommended for buyers who prefer a single landed cost and minimal freight management overhead.
Delivery port, incoterms, and freight arrangements are confirmed at the contract stage. We ship to ports worldwide and can accommodate buyers in Asia-Pacific, Europe, North America, and the Middle East.
Export Controls & Compliance
Rare earth materials are subject to export control regulations in several jurisdictions, and end-use requirements vary significantly by destination country. Terratec Resources manages all applicable export licensing and compliance requirements as part of every shipment. Our standard compliance process includes:
Export Licence Management — Where required by origin country regulations, we obtain and manage all necessary export licences prior to shipment.
End-Use Declarations — For materials subject to strategic goods controls or destination-country import requirements, we coordinate end-use declarations between buyer and relevant authorities.
Sanctioned Party Screening — All transactions are screened against applicable sanctions lists prior to contract execution.
Customs Documentation — Full customs declaration packages prepared and provided for both export and import clearance.
Buyers with specific compliance requirements — including US EAR, EU dual-use regulations, or ITAR-adjacent documentation needs — are encouraged to raise these at the enquiry stage so we can confirm our capability to meet them.
Standard Documentation Package
Every Terratec Resources shipment includes a complete documentation package. Standard documents provided with all orders:
— Certificate of Analysis (CoA) confirming purity grade, composition, and particle size — Safety Data Sheet (SDS) for handling, storage, and transport compliance — Country of Origin Certificate — Commercial Invoice & Packing List — Bill of Lading (FOB) or Sea Waybill (CIF) — Export Licence (where applicable) — End-Use Declaration (where required by destination country)
Additional documentation including third-party laboratory verification reports, phytosanitary certificates, and destination-country specific import certificates can be arranged on request. Contact us at the enquiry stage to confirm your specific documentation requirements.
